This week has seen the launch of one of Manchester’s most prestigious business addresses, Ship Canal House, Art Nouveau inspired commercial property brochure. From a creative perspective the project has been a great opportunity for us to work on, as the subject matter has to be one of the most interesting business spaces concept4 has ever been commissioned to promote.
The building from the outside is a strong piece of dramatic Art Deco – Art Moderne architecture, yet inside boasts a wonderful fusion of original features and ultra modern re-furbishment. Our brochure replicates the building’s charm with layouts and typography inspired by the Deco movement echoed by superb photography by our commercial expert Chris. Initial feedback on the brochure is fantastic and we hope that the next few months will see a great return for our clients GVA Grimley, CB Richard Ellis and the building owner Catalyst Capital.
For our studio it’s a great pleasure to see a project like this come to a successful end. 5.30am starts to capture the correct photographic light and minimal traffic and the joy of precariously walking along rooftops of some of Manchester’s oldest and ‘wobbliest’ buildings to gain perfect angles now all seems worthwhile. It’s a great project for us to have in our portfolio and a great example of what a difference going the extra mile can make.
