Whilst we are an agency most well known for our work in the UK (and beyond) education sector, we are also very active commercially, particularly here in Lancashire. Though we are proud of all the local work we undertake there are certain projects that stand out from the crowd.

LOCAL SITES OF INTEREST

No I don’t mean Blackpool Pleasure Beach or even Darwen Tower I am referring to the many Lancashire businesses we have worked with on their Lancashire focused websites. Lancashire Adult Learning is a great example. Part of the Nelson & Colne College Group they provide learning opportunities for adults across Lancashire. This includes an extensive range of subjects, with over 2000 different courses delivered. Their aim is that by empowering people to learn, local communities are more likely to thrive. Another significant Lancashire project is with Active Lancashire who are promoting a Business Health Matters programme which was launched this September. The programme has been developed to help tackle the poor health in Lancashire that is responsible for significant lost productivity every year. It is a workplace health programme that will upskill staff and encourage workplace health champions. This recently launched site Business Health Matters has had great customer feedback. “Concept4 did a great job of understanding the brief….the project process was well managed….the new website has been really well received in terms of design, usability and overall style.”

NAME DROPPING

Amongst the many Lancashire companies we deal with are Crown Paints and Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, both significant employers in our region. For Crown Paints we designed and developed MyRoomPainter app which allows the user to visualise any paint colour in the Crown range on any image. This is a great use of intelligent programming removing the necessity for paint samples and swatches. The user can even save multiple colour options for comparison and locate local Crown Paints stock. For Carlisle Interconnect Technologies we produced a fully responsive website which has its own cable configurator module. See Carlisle Interconnect technologies. The company are a global leader in radio frequency connectivity products supplying key industries like medicine, military and aerospace. They approached a number of Lancashire digital agencies to pitch for this project. They chose Concept4 due to our excellent understanding of the project requirements from the outset and the great team of people they would be working with.

These are all very different websites or digital solutions with diverse aims but they all share the common feature of having a positive social or economic impact on our Lancashire community.
