Accessibility & Inclusion in Education – Free Webinar

At Concept4 we pride ourselves in our websites and ensuring our customers get the absolute best in site performance, design, flexibility and accessibility. The latter is a significant issue for all website owners who care about showcasing their offer to as wide an audience as possible. It is increasingly important that websites are not just accessible, but usable by all. Everyone should have the opportunity to access online content, especially when this relates to opportunities in education and training.

Current legislation states that all public sector websites and mobile apps must meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Take a look at our previous blog post regarding school & college website accessibility for more details about how to go about ensuring you are compliant.

Given there can be uncertainty around whether a school or college website meets accessibility standards it is good to know Concept4 take it very seriously and have the issue covered.

With this in mind we are joining up with inclusion software specialists Recite Me to provide an informative webinar on the subject this September. This is aimed at the education sector, with guidance and advice about putting accessibility first and enhancing inclusion practices for students and other key stakeholders. The title of the webinar is Creating an Inclusive Online Environment for Students and it will take place, appropriately, during National Inclusion Week, on Thursday 29 September, 2.00-3.00pm BST. National Inclusion Week, in its tenth year, is dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workspaces. We encourage schools, MATs, colleges and universities to play their part and sign up for this free, online event below:
