Consider

The idea behind the “think!” campaign is for the public to stop and think about their symptoms, perhaps do some research and take advice on where they could be most appropriately treated.

Create

The campaign was visual within existing Urgent Care Centres and Minor Injury Units, raising awareness that not all people who attend these services need to be there. There was a ‘mass spread’ communications campaign to cover the whole demographic spread of hospitals within East Lancashire, communicating the four main symptoms of people attending Urgent Care Centres who didn’t need to.

Communicate

The collateral to promote the campaign which was distributed in GP surgeries includes banner stands, posters, supporting information leaflets and fever thermometers. We've also produced a newsletter to display in GP Practices which enables waiting patients to be better informed about the options available to them. A series of commercial radio adverts were commissioned to communicate with the target audience in selected local areas.
