Standish Community High School is the latest website launch for this successful, growing trust. 
As a values driven school they expect these behaviours of themselves, their students and their families; ‘we care, we aim high, we achieve together and we lead the way.’ Dovetailed with that, they have three key aims for their students over the 5 years they are attending the school:
- To become successful learners
- To become confident individuals
- To become responsible citizens
Remote learning, online payments and more
The growing importance of virtualisation can't be ignored! And many schools want to talk virtual possibilities right at the outset of a website project. Standish were no exception. The website is beautifully designed with a clean user interface and a considered user journey. Both prospective and existing parents can access key information easily from the main navigation, and a sub navigation at the top of the homepage enables staff working from home to log into remote access, parents to make online payments and staff and students quick access to home learning.
Easy-to-update content management system
What's going to be key both now and more so in the future as the website becomes central to the remote learning experience schools provide, is the ease of use of the content management system. Whilst we are entirely able to build websites in WordPress and other open source content management systems, we'd always recommend a school uses Content4 which is our own CMS that was created for schools. It's ease of use is what sets it apart from other CMS's and with the website accessibilty being more important than ever, having a site that's easy for all to both navigate and update is essential in an uncertain world.
